Win Server 2022 Standard User CAL
The Wjndows server cal will remain in effect for windows server.2022 . This means a license is needed for each user or device that wants to access the server directly or indirectly. For companies that provide each employee with their own computer or mobile device, it is therefore worthwhile to invest in the Microsoft CAL. Due to the different licensing models and the different editions, it is important to keep your eyes open when buying.

Scope of functions: Who needs a User CAL?
The User CAL from Microsoft is required when a user wants to access the server. This can be direct or indirect access, for example by means of software. As a rule, this type of licensing is always useful when devices are user-bound. This means: A user accesses via a specific end device. If, on the other hand, the same device is used by several employees, the win server 2022 standard cal would be the right solution.
The Microsoft CAL enables the user to use all functions of the Win Server 2022 Standard.
